Which facial is right for your skin?
Four treatments, what each one actually does, and who I would put in each chair. A plain guide to the facial menu at The Skincare Boutique in Ladera Ranch.
Almost every new client asks me the same question before they book.
Not "what's your best facial." They ask, "which one do I actually need?"
It's the right question, and it's the one most menus don't answer. You read four descriptions that all promise glowing skin, they all sound lovely, and you end up picking based on price or the name you like best. That's not a decision. That's a guess.
So here's the honest version.
First, what a professional facial can and can't do
A facial is not a product with a longer name. In the treatment room I can use tools and depths of exfoliation you cannot use at home, and I can adjust in real time based on what your skin is doing that day.
What that means practically: a single treatment can meaningfully improve hydration, texture, tone, and clarity. What it can't do is replace a home routine. Treatments accelerate. Your daily ritual maintains. One without the other is money spent twice.
If you take one thing from this, take this: the right facial is the one that matches where your skin is right now, not the one with the most impressive equipment list.
Golden Hour
HydraGlow
This is where I start most first-time clients, and that's not a soft sell. It's the gentlest way in, which means I get to see how your skin behaves before we go further.
Deep hydration and instant radiance. No aggressive exfoliation, nothing to plan around. If you have an event this weekend, a shoot, or you simply haven't liked what you've seen in the mirror lately, this is the one.
It's also the right answer if you've had a bad experience elsewhere and you're nervous. Nothing here will surprise you.
V-Lift Electro
Facelift
Microcurrent. No needles, no downtime.
This is the treatment for the person who looks in the mirror and can't name what changed. The face just reads a little tired, a little less defined than it used to. Microcurrent works with the muscle, which is why results build with consistency rather than arriving all at once.
I'll be straight with you. One session gives you a lovely result for a few days. A series is where it becomes something you notice in photographs.
Tighten &
Glow RF
Radiofrequency works deeper than microcurrent, using controlled warmth to target firmness and definition through the lower face and neck.
The neck is the giveaway most people ignore. We treat the face diligently for years and stop at the jawline. If that's you, and it's most of us, this is the correction.
Where V-Lift is about lift and tone, RF is about density and texture. Some skin wants one. A lot of skin over forty benefits from both, alternated.
The Icon
Ninety minutes. The full combination, customized on the day.
This is the one people book before a wedding, an anniversary, a milestone birthday, or a season where they simply want to be taken care of. It's also what I recommend when someone has been away from professional treatment for a long time and we have real ground to cover.
No compromises. That's genuinely the whole description.

If you leave a treatment with a glow and no plan, you've bought a nice afternoon. If you leave with both, you've started something.
What happens after matters more than the hour
The treatment is the beginning, not the result. Whatever we do in the room, your skin needs support at home to hold it.
That doesn't mean a shelf full of products. It usually means five things, used in the right order, consistently, which is the whole idea behind the Boutique Glow Method.
